The history of the Calvary is long. In 1868 the Hörmann family from Rommelsried had the complex with stations of the cross and the extraordinary Holy Sepulcher Chapel built at their own expense. In 2008, many citizens of Rommelsried came together to renovate the old, crumbling stations of the cross with generous donations and a high level of work.
