In the municipal forest district of Diedorf are the so-called exotic forest and the "Diedorfer Garten", two forest complexes of particular importance. This unique collection of exotic trees was created in the 1880s and is home to 70 foreign tree species on an area of around eight hectares.

The tallest Douglas firs measure just under 60 metres, the largest coastal fir has a diameter of 1.50 meters at breast height and an estimated timber stock of 35 cubic metres.
