Road cycling

The Church of the Redeemer is the largest evangelical church in Langenfeld; due to the gray natural stone blocks, it looks like "a strong castle". On June 28, 1908, the foundation stone was laid for the building according to plans by architect Arno Fritsche, and on November 28, 1909 the church was inaugurated. At that time, the Evangelical parish of Langenfeld owned two sacred buildings, the Martin Luther Church in Reusrath. In 1975/76, preliminary considerations began to remodel the interior due to new theological findings, and the remodeling was completed in Advent 1981.
