On the site of today's Kolvenburg, Billerbeck knights probably built a castle in the 13th century. Most of the parts of the castle that are still there today date from the 15th and 16th centuries. It was restored between 1958 and 1976. Since then it has been used for exhibitions and concerts. Guided tours are possible after registration.
