A number of approximately 30 pedunculate oaks that are several hundred years old in the southwest of the urban area of Frankfurt am Main are called Schwanheimer Alteichen. The particularly vigorous oaks are in the Frankfurt city forest in the district of Schwanheim in the south of Main.

The perfect time to visit the oaks seems to be the end of March to the beginning of April. The weather is already quite warm, but the days are longer but the forest is not yet green. This really shows off the bizarre shapes of the trees.
