The Vrouwenbos can be characterized for the most part as a Veldbies-Beech forest (Luzulo-Fagetum). Characteristic is the presence of white field rush and large field rush. Sessile oak dominates in the tree layer. Furthermore, beech, silver birch and hornbeam are frequent. The shrub layer is weakly developed with, among others, Rowan, which is typical for this forest community. In the herb layer there is a strong dominance of Fern and Blackberry. In the northwestern part of the forest we find a well-developed example of the Pearl Grass-Beech Forest (Melico-Fagetum). There is a well-developed tree and shrub layer and a strongly developed herb layer with a pronounced spring aspect including Sweet Woodruff, Single Berry, Musk Herb, Wood Millet Grass, Golden Buttercup, Healing Herb, ...
