Heye Glass Lake

The lake is an old gravel pit from the Heye company. For divers there are two platforms and other attractions such as sunken fir trees, bathtubs, garden gnomes and a mannequin. Lines are stretched under water from the platform and lead to the next highlight.

Above ground, the lake invites you to take a bath, although parties are rather undesirable:
sg-mittelweser.de/portal/pressespiegel/hoffnung-fuer-heye-see-gescheitert-7001050-21550.html. On the side opposite the main street, bathing is almost exclusively naked. The water is crystal clear and the fine sandy beach is always kept clean - at least on this corner of the lake.

We were in Brokeloh in February and have gladly made tours to this lake which you can walk around wonderfully with sturdy shoes. The sandy beach is beautiful and in summer certainly a popular destination.

Beautiful lake with a great path around it.
Not entirely safe for swimmers in summer. The quality of the water is not examined further.
