02/03/2019 - In the middle of the 19th century, the citizens of Gumpoldskirch erected the wayside chapels as a thank you because the cholera had spared the community. And since then, the people of Gumpoldskirch have taken care of the 14 Stations of the Cross as godparents. It is a deep-rooted family tradition to look after, maintain, decorate and light each chapel. This was also important for the renovation.
