The church in Burgwerben was originally a late Romanesque three-nave pillar basilica. After the destruction in the Thirty Years War, the aisles were removed.

Gravestones Gravestone Melchior von Bothfeld (1570), gravestone of a child (1614), cemetery with gravestones from the 17th to 19th centuries.
Next to the church there is also a small rest area from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Saale valley.
The stop is definitely worth it.
