St. Hippolytus Church is located in the middle of the woods of Olterterp. The church was built around 1500 of solid yellow and red bricks. After construction, the church was probably expanded, given the clear building seam in the north wall. Unlike many old Frisian churches, this one has not been raised, but rather lowered. In addition, the stair top of the closing facade is striking, which is quite remarkable for a medieval Frisian church.

Romantic church with bell tower, located in the edge of the forest, near Beetsterzwaag, dating from 1500 with a tower from 1744. Belongs to the Alde Fryske Tsjerken Foundation and is mainly used as a concert hall, exhibition space, and wedding or funeral location.
