Former parish church for the places Kaltendorf (now part of Oebisfeld), Breitenrode, Wassensdorf, Buchhorst, Weddendorf, Niendorf and Bergfriede. Profaned in 1977 due to falling community numbers. Refurbished from 1999 by a development association. The Nicolaikirche is used for concerts and other cultural performances.
