For the Salb bridge you should not only bring vertigo, but also have alpine experience, because the connection between the Salbit and the Voralp hut has it all. Among other things you have to overcome a 45 meter long iron ladder. At the exposed places can be secured with a via ferrata set. You can borrow this in both huts and return it.

Over a steep rock face, a 45 meter long metal ladder leads down into the
Horefellichelen. Secured by steel cables, the via ferrata further traverses a rock channel and after steep mountainous terrain follows again a ladder. Abruptly the path winds over the next ridge under the first tower of the Salbitschijen-Westgrat. Through the subsequent scree, the route climbs under the rocky outcrops of the Salbitschijen past the bivouac (2400m) to a metal ladder, over this down to the 90 -meter-long Salbit bridge which crosses the Stotzig-Chälä.
For the ascent of the connection path T4 (blue / white way) between the Voralphütte and the Salbithütte, a via ferrata set is urgently recommended. This can be rented in both cabins. For me personally, the most challenging part was the 45 meter long bridge over the rock face. The ladder is not continuous, but meanders down the rock and I was glad that I had a via ferrata set. The rest of the way and the via ferrata I personally felt then just really cool and the whole way is very varied and made me huge fun. But he has some very exposed areas and for this way is urgently necessary vertigo. The passage over the 90-meter-long Salbit suspension bridge, before which I had the most respect in the run-up, proved to me then as almost the most harmless place.
