For the Salb bridge you should not only bring vertigo, but also have alpine experience, because the connection between the Salbit and the Voralp hut has it all. Among other things you have to overcome a 45 meter long iron ladder. At the exposed places can be secured with a via ferrata set. You can borrow this in both huts and return it.

A 45 meter long metal ladder leads down a steep rock face into the
Horefellichelen. Secured by steel ropes, the via ferrata crosses a rock channel and, after steep, mountainous terrain, another ladder follows. The path winds its way craggy over the next ridge under the first tower of the Salbitschijen west ridge. The route climbs through the scree that follows, under the rock towers of the Salbitschijen, past the bivouac (2400m) to a metal ladder, over this down to the 90-meter-long Salbit bridge that crosses the Stotzig-Chälä.

A via ferrata set is urgently recommended for using the connecting route T4 (blue / white route) between the Voralphütte and the Salbithütte. This can be rented in both cabins.

For me personally, the most challenging part was the 45 meter long ladder down over the rock face. The ladder is not continuous, but meanders down the rock and I was glad that I had a via ferrata set with me. Personally, I found the rest of the way and via ferratas just really cool and the whole way is very varied and I really enjoyed it. However, it has some very exposed spots and for this trail you absolutely need a head for heights. The place over the 90 meter long Salbit suspension bridge, for which I had the most respect in advance, turned out to be the most harmless place for me.
