Llyn Ogwen is a beautiful little lake gloriously positioned between the mountain peaks of Pen Yr Ole Wen and Tryfan. It collects the streams that tumble down from Llyn Idwal and Llyn Bochwyld and spawns the Afon Ogwen, which flows down the Nant Ffrancon towards Bethesda. Beyond the lake's western end is the Ogwen Cottage Youth Hostel and plenty of parking spaces for adventures into Cwm Idwal.
