In Spijk, a tour around the church is not difficult. The Andreaskerk stands on top of a circular mound that you can walk around in 5 minutes. At the time of my visit (March 2021) the church was being restored and was not open to the public.

The current building was rebuilt in 1676 after the old church was largely destroyed by fire a few years earlier. Only the walls were preserved. During the restoration in 1969-1970, various finds were revealed that give a picture of the original medieval church.
