Hiking

The granite boulder (3.75 meters high, 1.75 meters wide, 0.85 meters deep) weighs around eleven tons. At first it lay unnoticed in the forest near Pauker's quarry on Häusellohweg. In 1982 the stone was taken to the quarry and set up there. At first it was a stumbling block, because quite a few saw it as a disgraceful work of power by the National Socialists. In fact, this monument was created in the 1940s. However, there is not a single indication that the rulers of the time commissioned this stone.
