The antique theater of Antiphellos is located in the Western edge of the city. The auditorium (or koilon) originally consisted of 28 rows of seats of which only 26 remain. It seated about 4000 spectators. No scene-building remains, so it is assumed that the "scaene" was originally a wooden structure. The theater is dated to the first quarter of the 1st century BC. It was restored in the 2nd century AD after a major earthquake hit the region in 141 AD. The same earthquake majorly impacted nearby ancient Simena where a large part of the city was lost to the sea what now known as Sunken city of Kekova.
