Already in the mine maps of the late 19th century this tunnel is described as an inaccessible, old tunnel. It must have been the first tunnel built on Kobelsberg around 1851/55. Not even its exact location could be made out in the area.

Wiesloch Mining Trail | Station 18 | It is not clear exactly where this early tunnel is located. It must have been the first tunnel to be excavated on Kobelsberg around 1851/55, because it is recorded as an impassable, "old tunnel" in the mine maps of the late 19th century.
