Presumably there was a church in Zingsheim as early as the ninth century. It is historically documented by 1131 at the latest. In the twelfth century, the original hall church was transformed into a three-aisled basilica. Over the centuries, the church, which is consecrated to St. Peter, has been expanded again and again, most recently in 1965 with the addition of a nave.
