The park extends around the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vogelherdhöhle, named "Caves and Ice Age Art of the Swabian Alb". In the park you will discover the cave as well as an information center with an exhibition of tools made of stone and ivory as well as works of art from that time. In the outdoor area you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in everyday life in the Stone Age at various themed areas.

Opening times: from April to October every day except Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. From November to March for individual visitors every Sunday from 12 noon to 5 pm.

Admission costs 7 euros for adults, 5 euros is the reduced admission price.

Very interesting for families with children. It is currently a bit quieter there (thanks to Corona) but otherwise the "cave" is going on!

The archaeopark is money making, do not go in! I used to visit the Vogelherd cave without paying admission!

Very beautiful area around the Vogelherd Cave, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. On the way to the Archaeopark, numerous information boards explain the history of the cave and the stone-age works of art made of ivory found there, which are among the oldest in the world (30,000 - 40,000 years old). During this period, just 10,000 people lived in only a few settlements in what is now Baden-Württemberg. You only have to pay admission to visit the Archäopark and the Vogelherd Cave, the café can be entered free of charge.
