In the Blyde River Reserve there are several hiking trails. Anything from 2km which takes about 45 minutes to 10km which can take up to 7 hours. It is possible to get to the dam wall and on top of the hill there is an information center.

Mountain biking

Along the Swadini Road with amazing scenery and fantastic views of the mountains surrounding the Blyde River Dam. A few steepish hills but nothing difficult, great for mountain or road bikes as it’s a tar road. The road leads to the dam wall, ca 1.2km before the wall, there’s the start of the Hippo Valley trail.
