"50 years have passed since the Bossel-Blankenstein narrow-gauge railway stopped operating. How many citizens from Buchholz and the surrounding area can still remember it became clear through the crowded parish hall of the Buchholz church, when Rolf Swoboda, an outspoken expert on history the small railway, held a slide show at the invitation of the "Bündnis für Buchholz" association.

Even during the Second World War, it still had to take on important tasks, but with advances in technology and infrastructure, it became less and less important - and in 1968 it was discontinued. It hasn't crossed the Wittener Straße at the Steinenhaus for 50 years and hasn't trudged through the predominantly idyllic forest and meadow landscape to Sprockhövel. The visitors of the evening were happy to see old friends again and thanked the speaker, who also wrote a book about "Die Bossel - Blankensteiner Eisenbahn", with hearty applause."
