The bridleway that circumnavigates Handfast Point gives you the perfect opportunity to marvel at these three huge chalk formations. From here you can also soak up one of the most iconic images of the south coast - the red Jurassic cliffs rolling for nearly 100 miles into East Devon

One of the most amazing coastlines on the British Isles. The reason why I will never move back to London!

If you are descending from the Obelisk end of this route, look out for a path through the field just before Old Harry Rocks. It's a downhill piece of single track to rival any other around the area (as with all great decants, to short watch out for the gate and pedestrians!).

Don't miss out on the Bankes Arms either. The perfect stop before returning on the Sandbanks Chain Ferry. I would say essential stop, especially in the winter when they have the fire going to warm cold toes!

Absolutely interesting and impressive spot! Then a good climb towards Swanage with a nice view ....
