View from Friesener Warte

Friesener Warte is always worth a trip, especially in summer or autumn. The great view is awesome. A paradise for mountain bikers

The Friesener Warte flying club's gliding airfield is located on the plateau, and you can occasionally watch gliders taking off or landing.
The opening scenes of the very successful two-part film "Hindenburg" (2011) were also filmed up here.
On nice days, you have a really impressive view from here, stretching far into Franconian Switzerland, the Steigerwald, the Upper Main Valley and even into the Rhön.
In summer, protected plants such as purple pasqueflower, tender flax, wild thyme and smaller orchid species bloom on the dry, lean meadows.

One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the district.
