In the "Jungferla-Sage" it is said that every year three virgins came to Baiersdorf for the May dance. However, these always disappeared at midnight. One year students from Erlangen followed the three pretty girls, but when the church tower clock struck midnight, the three virgins disappeared into the rock cellar and have never been seen again since.

This fountain was redesigned and developed as a point of attraction for strollers. There is a small plateau above a sandstone wall, on which oak benches and tables invite you to rest. From this plateau you have a wonderful view of the Regnitz valley and Baiersdorf.
