Karl Ludwig Thuerecht Koeberlin stabbed the Bayreuth corps boy Rubner in a duel on June 1, 1841. The reason for the duel was a dispute at the Erlangen Bergkirchweih. The "Rubnerstein" on the Rathsberg commemorates the duel. Rubner died from a sword thrust shortly after the duel began.
