In the spring of 1915 a huge airship base was built by the German army in the coulters of Gontrode and Lemberge.
German soldiers built a gigantic hall suitable for mooring zeppelins.
Later, Gotha IV aircraft also took off from this airbase.
Both the zeppelins and the Gothas were used to carry out bombing raids on Great Britain.
On top of the bunker is a panorama table with text and explanation.
