Hiking

Stoteler See has so many beautiful corners. I am particularly fascinated by the riverside paths parallel to the main path with small bays that invite you to sunbathe in the summer or have a picnic. Hidden and covered with reeds, partly very beautiful and not obviously visible.

Hiking

The lake was named after the nearby town of Stotel and was created during the construction of the federal highway 27 to the west. It is approximately 1 km long in a west-east direction, 30 hectares in size and up to 14.5 m deep.[1] The surrounding area is characterized by the Geest in the north and the Stoteler Moor in the south. Excess water resulting from precipitation is drained through the Hahnenknoop-Hetthorn Moor Canal into an oxbow river of the Lune.
