Nice view over the former Weser island. The Luneplate is an ecological compensation area for the extension of the container terminal Bremerhaven and is wet again since 2003. In addition to birds, you can also see water buffalo, which serve the landscape care.

Visitors can observe the wildlife undisturbed by circular routes and various observation facilities. In addition to the lookout tower in the south of the Luneplate, there is also an observation hideout. Here you can approach the birds without being discovered. Two visitor platforms, one at the former Lunesiel and one with a view of the wet grassland and two information pavilions at the parking lots complete the nature reserve.
