The mill was converted to this location in 1839. In 1926, the miller also got an electric motor, so that two drives could be used. After 1953 only electric. In a heavy storm, the mill lost its wings. In 1980, citizens began to renovate the mill. Since 2003, the Schmannewitzer Mühlenverein takes care of the preservation of the technical monument. By appointment, and mill days, the mill can be visited.
