The kaolin lake
04808 Hohburg (Saxony) deKaolin was mined near Hohburg until 1965. Then the open pit was flooded and the beautiful kaolin lake was created. Mostly referred to by the locals as "de Kali" or "de Grube", every bathing enthusiast will find the right one for their preferences: Large lawn with beach, forest side with many hidden bays, stairs for water lovers with limited mobility and plenty of undisturbed spots for nudists. There are two free parking spaces right by the lake, and the ice cream parlor in the village is ideal after a swim. The Kali is also very interesting for divers, as old vehicles and the like. left behind during the flood.Source: seen.de/kaolinsee
