Tips
Opened as a commercial airfield in 1927 and later used as a military airfield. The airships LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin and LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin II once landed here.

I admit, I'm out and about here every day. Why? Because I'm a "dog walker", which means I walk dogs from the Meiningen animal shelter so that they don't have to spend two hours in a kennel at least once a day.
The area is ideal and you can plan tours of 3 - 20 km. Of course, that's not possible with a two-hour walk, but 9 km is doable - with the right dog.translated by•January 21, 2025
