Meanders of the Swalm

The Dutch part of the Swalm has plenty of room to meander naturally, so you walk along all kinds of whimsical bends in the river - a beautiful sight.

The Schwalm meanders here unhindered and very winding through the forest.

The Swalm has a natural, meandering character along its entire length. This is what the information sign "The natural character of the Swalm" says (see photos). But you can also just see it—truly—the Swalm meanders here in a delightful way, especially since the restoration of its natural character at De Bosberg swimming pool. The sign also states this.And then there's this: "The Swalm is a meandering stream in Central Limburg, deeply incised in the Meuse terraced landscape.
