A small climb on the A3100 Portsmouth Road on the way into or out of Guildford city centre. There's an large Folkestone Formation sandstone cliff on the east side of the road at the summit, with some impressive cross-bedding, and a ruined medieval chapel on the top, which gives the hill its name.

There was a slope failure on the railway on the other side of the hill earlier this year, which led to a railway closure, but it led to a cave with a medieval shrine being discovered.
