The kilometer-long, fine sandy beach invites you to a beach holiday with long walks, sunbathing and many beach activities.
The beach impresses with its cleanliness and crystal-clear water. In addition to tourists, you will also meet some locals here, but it is by no means overcrowded.
Getting there
Hargen aan Zee can be reached from the municipality of Schoorl via the Hargerstrandweg on foot, by bike or by car (parking fees apply).
Schoorl is located between Groet and Camperduin on the A9 expressway in the province of North Holland. Here you will also find beautiful holiday homes, hotels and a campsite.
Beach fun
The fine sand is ideal for various sports such as beach volleyball, football or Frisbee. Water sports enthusiasts such as kite surfers or windsurfers will get their money's worth.
An ideal place for a beach holiday with children, but make sure you have sun and wind protection, perhaps with a sturdy beach tent. And be careful when swimming - the beach is not supervised, there is often a strong surf and offshore wind.
Sea and more
The beach pavilion with a view of the sea and the magnificent dune landscape is just the right place to fortify yourself. Protected from the wind, you can enjoy international and Dutch specialties here. From steak and burgers to frikandeln, panekoken and traditional fish dishes, almost everything is available. Well-chilled drinks and ice cream "to go" are also not missing. The extremely friendly and quick service ensures this.

Travel time
The best time, especially with children and for sun worshippers, is certainly midsummer. But even those who are used to storms - well wrapped up - will have fun here in spring and autumn.
