The ruins of the "youngest" of three buildings of the medieval Marburg synagogue are clearly visible under the glass cube today. It is a building from the early 14th century with basic dimensions of around 7 x 10 m. Parts of the access area and the beginnings of a ribbed vault are still clearly visible. It is known from written sources that this building, known as the "Jewish School", was demolished in 1452.

The surviving vault keystone is decorated with a six-pointed star ("Star of David") composed of flowers.
