South of Sumvitg extends the V-shaped Val Sumvitg (Somvixertal). In summer, the bus leaves from the stations Rabius and Sumvitg to the reservoir Runcahez, a welcome shortcut to the otherwise long strait. It is still one of the most popular locations in Romansh literature in Graubünden. At the end of the valley, the Somvixer Rhine sloshes through the narrow, steep gorge, above leads the old mule track in the Greina.

The Val Sunvitg is very shallow after the reservoir. The circular route leads over alpine pastures and pastures along the Sunvitgerrheins. The detour up to the waterfall is worthwhile because of the beautiful sanded stones.
Nb: with the Alpentaxi you save the way to the valley. PP has enough at the reservoir.

You can now buy a day ticket from the reservoir to the alp for CHF 8 (SMS or EasyPark app). This saves about 30-45 minutes on foot and is worth it if you want to hike the Greina in one day. In summer, because of the grazing of the cows and cattle, damage to the car cannot be ruled out. The path is also not intended for expensive or low-slung vehicles 😉.
