The hike mostly leads through open countryside over meadows and dirt roads around the village of Hinzerath. The highlights are the former moated castle Baldenau and the arnica loop through the spring moor in the upper Dhrontal. The Traumschleife took second place in the “Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2017” vote in the “Tours” category. The hike is varied and family-friendly.
