The location description on the right just under the little map is wrong.. St Cosmos and St Damian church is at the university end of the crab and winkle way. Just before the junction with Tyler hill road. The winding pond is a couple of miles further on as R Du Preez says roughly mid way and in the wooded section of the crab and winkle way.

Winding Pond on the Crab and Winkle way between Canterbury and Whitstable. Once used to supply water for the steam engines and winch that pulled passengers on the oldest passenger rail line in the world.
