South Harting Village

South Harting opens up cycle and hiking routes to the four points of the compass, Rotate to the North, Midhurst to the East, Compton to the South and Petersfield to the West. The Southdowns Way crosses at the top of the climbs to the South and South East with parking for cyclists and hikers offering stunning views over Harting Down.

Beautiful village with stunning church, a great local shop selling a wide selection of local food. Even has a phone box library.

Almost a town, South Harting has the most beautiful of settings, folded under the Downs beneath the South Downs Way and Harting Down. Harting's church may not be as evocative as some of the other downland churches but its copper green tower is a major landmark in the Rother Valley and helps give the village its character.
