Hiking

De Doornpanne, together with De Hoge Blekker and De Schipgatduinen, forms a 240 hectare dune massif. The central part is owned by Aquaduin and functions as a water extraction area. Other parts have the status of Flemish Nature Reserve and are managed by the Flemish Community.
The area includes diverse dune types, from drifting dunes and dune grasslands to densely vegetated pans and fixed inner dunes.
