The Oosthove is first mentioned in 1236 in a deed of sale from the Wevelgem monastery. According to a map from 1771, it was situated differently than it is today. The farm was surrounded by a moat. It was rebuilt in 1778. That year is mentioned on the entrance gate. The house was rebuilt in 1793, probably on the former foundations. That year is mentioned above the front door.
