The top of this mountain is very popular, even in winter with snowshoes. It can be easily reached from the Maira valley from the municipality of Roccabruna, or from the Varaita valley from the municipality of Valmala, or from Lemma in the municipality of Rossana. The view from up here is beautiful, fog permitting.

Hiking

Together with Rocceré and Birrone, Monte San Bernardo offers a view (on clearer days) over the entire Cuneo plain and beyond. It is possible to see in the distance Turin and the Alps of the Aosta Valley: the Monte Rosa Group, the Gran Paradiso and the Matterhorn. Excellent view also on the Monviso.
