The steel railway bridge in Weilburg is part of the Lahn Valley Railway from Lahnstein to Wetzlar and is located at kilometer 23.22. It was built in 1862 to carry the Lahn Valley Railway across the river and has been renovated several times since then.

In the immediate vicinity, just a few meters downstream, the Eiserne Steg leads as a footpath and cycle path as the 7th Weilburg Bridge over the Lahn.
