The Campi di Annibale are located at an altitude of 750 meters and are part of the municipality of Rocca di Papa, in the province of Rome. According to legend, they take their name from Hannibal, who allegedly camped here as he proceeded towards Canne. More probably, however, the name derives from the Annibaldi family. From the fields of Hannibal passes the via Sacra, which reaches Monte Cavo. The views from Hannibal's Fields are splendid.
