Reachable from the town of Santa Croce via a comfortable asphalted road, the Scipio Slataper lookout stands on top of Mount San Primo, 278 m above sea level, where a structure (consisting of a mound of stones) used to sighting of schools of tuna. It was erected in 1956 by the SE.L.A.D. (Section Labor Assistance Unemployed) of the Civil Engineers, an organization created after World War II by the GMA. On the floor of the terrace there is a wind rose engraved with the directions of the observable locations.
