The Stötteritz grove traverses numerous forest trails. There are several children's playgrounds and in the middle part a hill serves as a toboggan slope. At the southern edge of the former manure pond, now pond on Stötteritz grove, a fishing waters. The small park Hopfengarten, also located on the southern edge, takes its name to an old name of this area. With all this makes the Stötteritz grove an important recreational opportunity for the district. The common ash, the sycamore, the winter linden, the hornbeam and the maple are the main tree species. Some of the over 20-meter-high trees are over 100 years old. Fox and wild rabbits are to be found here next to the bird life.
