The minaret of Banya-Bashi Mosque is clearly recognizable from afar. The mosque dates from the 16th century and was designed by one of the most famous architects of the Ottoman Empire, Mimar Sinan.
It is the only mosque in the capital still in use and can accommodate about seven hundred people.
