The bunker was originally equipped with a tank turret – a cupola taken from Renault tanks. Such installations were extremely rare, as only two of these special "tank turret bunkers" were built in the entire defense system of the Position Fortifiée de Liège (PFL), a Belgian bunker ring around Liège.
