The older church of St. Wendelin was built in 1477. A new church building was built on the site of the old church from 1873 to 1876. It was destroyed by fire on February 13, 1940 and, despite wartime and Nazi rule, it was re-inaugurated at Easter 1941. The church is designed in the neo-Gothic style.

Catholic Church of St. Wendelinus Dombach / Parish Church
There have always been numerous legends surrounding Wendelin. He is said to have been an Irish king's son who renounced his crown and rule on a trip to Rome and, among other things, hired himself out as a shepherd. He is said to have later been elected abbot of the monastery of Tholey. He is revered as the patron saint of herders and farmers.
The patron saint's day is on October 20th.

Dombach was first mentioned in 1281. The first chapel was built in 1477. At this point in 1876 under Pastor Dr. Franz Alfred Muth built the new church. Dombach and Schwickers-hausen formed a common parish from 1840 until the merger with St. Peter and Paul Bad Camberg (2012). The rectory from 1865 is opposite the church in Dombach. Dombach was an independent municipality until 1974 and has since been the smallest district of Bad Camberg.
