The Witches' Tower, originally called Himmelrych or Fimmis Tower, probably dates back to the 14th century. It was first mentioned in a document from 1415.
The bulwark-like round tower rises in front of the southwest corner of the lower town wall directly above the banks of the Reuss. It is built from pebbles and rubble stones. The wall is 3 meters thick on the ground floor. The 22 meter high hull has a 17 meter high pointed roof with a pennant finial. The loopholes were built in the 16th century. The tower used to be entered from the ring wall, through a pointed arch at the height of the second floor. The entrance on the ground floor is more recent.

The tower can be visited as part of a guided tour of the city. It is also available for social events (exhibitions, meetings and aperitifs). There are 4 tables with a total of 25 seats.

The Witches' Tower is located in the lower town of Bremgarten and directly on the Reuss.
It is one of several well-preserved towers. In the immediate vicinity you can also find remains of the former city wall
